About setting Timelines, Communication and Positivity:
- Set timelines:
“After we color this page, we will have dinner.”
“After this, we are going to dress up to school.”
Setting up the timelines will allow your child to mentally prepare what to do next. So, they know the serial in which tasks gets completed. These ways help you set a routine for them, slowly developing into a habit.
- Communicate with your child:
“You can ask and talk to them about the things they see around.”
“Or tell them about what they are eating and how it will benefit them.”
Enjoy your small, cute little conversation with your child, it develops their communication and confidence.
Make sure to speak to them with eye-to-eye contact. This way, they can hear your words, and understand them properly.
- Tell them what they “should do” NOT WHAT “they shouldn’t” in a positive way.
As opposed to saying “Don’t keep your books here and there”.
You can say “Keep your books inside your bag” or “Keep your books on the shelf”.
By telling them what they “should do”, focusing them on it makes a positive impact and not deviates from them and impact them negatively.
